The new Tamers Ch1

Chapter 1: It's been a while...

My name is Rika Nonaka. I'm a digimon-tamer. Once, I was a part of a team, but that's been a while... Now me, my partner Renamon and the left-over digimon are searching for hope. What's up, you may wonder. Well... It's hard for me to tell but... I think, I'm the last tamer alive. Not only the digital world, even a part of the real world has been taken over by digimon. The organisation Hypnos tries to keep the danger away from becoming known. But I don't think, it's right. I lost my friends against those digimon! Yamaki will never understand! I have to do this on my own!

"Rika?"
The brown-haired girl looked up. Her partner Renamon, the yellow fox-digimon, stood in the doorway to her room.
"Another wild digimon attacked."
Rika nodded. She stood up and ran down the dark hallway of the Hypnos-building. One of the many, dark hallways. It was annoying. Everything looked the same. Rika had lived for ten months at Hypnos but it was still odd to her. She ran through a room, where many men and women in white coats hacked on hundrets of computers and finally reached the main door. She reached out for the doornob.
"Rika."
She turned around.
"What is it, Renamon?"
Her partner shook her head.
"Mr Yamaki won't be pleased to see you interfere."
"So what? I don't care."
"Rika!"
Too late. Rika had turned around and ran outside. She stopped shocked. It was right in front of her. A big, dark-green dinosaur-digimon with two red horns growing from its shoulders and sharp, blinking teeth. It was so near, that she could have counted the spits of blood on them. Rika was unable to move, as it opened its mouth, roared and prepared to eat the girl with one bite. But Renamon reacted. She appeared -seemingly out of thin air - next to her friend, grabbed her and jumped away. The digimon rammed into the building. Renamon leaned the heavyly breathing girl to the wall. Rika cleared her mind and took her D-Arc from her belt.
"That's Tuskmon.", she said, as she checked the digi-profile. "A dinosaur-digimon on the champion-level. Special attack: Horn-squasher."
Tuskmon had found them and prepared to attack again. But Renamon was faster.
"DIAMONT STORM!"
Just as Tuskmon opened its jaws, the fox-digimon shot several shining-blue diamonts right into it. Tuskmon growled but wasn't defeted yet. Rika took a card from her belt-pocket and slashed it through her D-Arc.
"Digi-Modify! Stingmon activate!"
Renamons hand formed into a purple sting.
"SPIKING FINISH!"
She rammed it into Tuskmons forehead. The champion-digimon roared and formed into data, that was absorbed by Renamon.

Rika heared the door being locked behind her. She lay down on her bed.
"Stupid Yamaki. If Renamon wouldn't have destroyed Tuskmon, this tower would have been destroyed."
Renamon appeared in the room.
"He is just worried about you.", she said calm as always.
"Hmpf."
Rika turned around, so her face lay on the pillow. For a few minutes, it was quiet.
"Renamon?"
"Yes?"
"Do you think there is hope?"
"I don't know, Rika, but don't give up. We've been through so much together."
